Duty teachers run the programme during lunch times.  Activities include: Kiwi cricket, softball, longball, non-stop cricket, 4 square, rollerblading, skateboards, netball, basketball, soccer, touch rugby. hockey, unihock, volleyball, Jump Jam and athletics.  Year 8 students run a PAL leadership programme to compliment the LAP's programme.  The Year 8 students organise and run activities for all levels of the school.  This is a very popular programme.

Parental Involvement

We need and welcome parental involvement both inside and outside the classroom for a wide range of activities.  Individual staff members will make contact with parents for class assistance.  We currently run an exciting reading programme - PPP, HPP, and require volunteers on a regular basis.  If you can help out please contact our office (388 9426).

Playground Supervision

Four teachers supervise the childrenat any one time.  We have 4 duty areas and a Responsibility Room for students who "slip up" and need to be reminded of our school expectations.  All duty teachers wear high visible vests.

Learning Centre

All classes are allocated a session each week in the school Learning Centre. Children are actively encouraged to read and withdraw books. Library skills are taught.  The Learning Centre is also open to students for independent borrowing during lunchtimes.  Items may be borrowed for two weeks. The Learning Centre is now open from 3.00-3.30pm. for parents and children.  Our magnificent Librarian is Mrs Kathryn Queree.
