OUR SCHOOL MISSION STATEMENT is RIDING THE WAVE OF QUALITY LEARNING South New Brighton School is uniquely located with the estuary and sea at its doorstep. The school is a full primary, with children attending aged from 5 to 13 years. We have a commitment to providing high quality education for children in this age range. We are proud to be a full primary school, as we believe the younger children benefit from having older children in the school to support them and to provide positive role models. The senior pupils benefit by being able to develop leadership skills through programmes offered at the school such as peer mediation, buddy reading, schoolpatrols and being librarians. The school values the partnership between parents, children and teachers. It is essential that we all work together to provide the best education available. One of the best ways to do this is through open communication. It is important that you contact your child's teacher if you have any questions or concerns. At the beginning of the year parents are able to attend a 'Meet The Teacher Evening', to learn about the programmes for the year. During the year there will be scheduled interviews, however if you have any concerns please do not wait but contact the teacher and make an appointment as soon as possible. At South New Brighton School we have a highly committed and talented, skilled staff. Parents are welcomed into South New Brighton School. We are fortunate at our school to have parents available to help in the classrooms as well as a small but very active Parent Teacher Association (PTA) who raise funds and provide many resources for the children. South New Brighton has a proud tradition of achievement, and this is made possible by setting high standards for pupils both academically and socially. Our role in education is to ensure pupils are able to meet the challenges of an ever changing world. We have a commitment to literacy and numeracy for all pupils within the school.
